Golden Falcons 12, Muncie Central 0

Winchester didn't take long to take control at Muncie Central on Thursday as the Falcons scored 10 runs over the first three innings, eventually coming home with a 12-2 victory.

Brooks Burelison and Brayden Tippett led the offense for the Falcons, both rapping three hits and scoring three runs. Tippett and Justin Cox both had doubles. Noah Heaton, Brock Goforth, Tippett and Cox all knocked in a pair of runs.

The Falcons collected nine total hits and amassed 14 walks, four by Ethan Doss, in the victory over the much larger Muncie school.

Doss got the win on the mound by pitching four innings, allowing just two hits, striking out five, walking just one and allowing just one earned run. Tippett pitched a pair of solid innings in relief.

Knightstown 6, Golden Falcons 3

Winchester coach Ken Hendrickson had hoped to turn this 3-3 tie ball game from earlier into the season into a win, but it didn't work out as the Panthers scored three times in the eighth to take the Trip-Eastern Conference win.

Knightstown finished with 13 hits to just six by the Falcons, two by Justin Cox. One of which was a two-run blast in the third inning.

Brooks Burelison pitched six and a third innings and suffered the loss. He allowed six runs, four earned, struck out nine and walked just one.
