The Pennville Pumpkin Festival is set to get underway on Saturday, October 16th at the Pennville Park located at 235 E. North Street. Visitors will be able to marvel at Giant Pumpkins weighing in well over 1,000 pounds! The Annual Festival has become one of Pennville’s primary attractions for several years now. Visitors will enjoy a full day of fall fun!
The day will start with a run/walk/jog 5K along with breakfast available from Grounds on the Fly from 7-10:30 am. Parade lineup begins at 10 am with the parade promptly at 10:30 am. Meet us in the Pennville Park at 11 am for a costume contest for all ages (and prizes, too!). This family-friendly festival caters to all ages! The Pennville Pumpkin Festival will include a whole host of artisans, demonstrators, business and food vendors from 11:00 am-4:00 pm. Kids games and activities and our Antique Fire Engine Show will be available during these times! Several community outreach programs and groups will be available to visit. Admission is free and there is no charge to visit all of the vendor booths and demonstrations! Kids games and activities cost 1 ticket (20 tickets for only $1), also kids tractor pull at 1:30.
Be sure to check out those giant pumpkins as they receive their awards in the afternoon! The Chili Cook-Off will be judged at 1 pm with the Pumpkin Dessert Bake-Off following at 1:30 pm. Cumberland Gap will be playing at the mainstage throughout the day. As the festival comes to an end, be sure to head up to the Pennville Community Center for the Whole Hog Roast sponsored by the Pennville Volunteer Fire Department from 4 to 7 pm.
