Monroe Central scored six touchdowns in the first half and went on to coast past visiting Oldenburg Academy Friday night, 45-0.

The big highlight, however, may have been from the foot of Elijah “Kicking Bear” Taylor, who booted a school record 32-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
Jeremiah also had a big play for the Bears – a 41-yard run for a score.
The Bears, ranked No. 4 in Class A, improved to 4-0 and half allowed just 24 points in four games, surrendering just 6.0 points a game, sixth best in all of Indiana. Caleb Snyder had seven tackles and Smithson-Burciaga, Taylor and Cole Munchel recorded six each. Jackson Ullom, Joel Kennedy and Justus Ullom intercepted passes with Kennedy’s going for a pick six. Freshman Elijah Goodspeed recorded a sack
The Bears will host No. 2 (No. 1 in the AP) South Adams on Friday.
