Last week’s stumper was a close-up of the Hook Bros. on the upper portions of 215 North Columbia Street in Union City which is set to be the home of Roots Deli once it is opened. This is in reference to Charles S. Hook and William J. Hook, brothers born in Montreal who came to Union City in 1877. They were partners in a tub and pail factory and lived in homes on North Howard Street.
