    Ashton Bandy didn’t allow a single run against Lapel, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Monroe Central a 3-0 victory on Monday.

    The pitching was strong on both sides. Bandy struck out five, while Lapel pitchers sat down four.

    Monroe Central got on the board in the first inning when Taft Manship singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

    One bright spot for Lapel was a single by Justin Engle in the second inning.

    Bandy got the win for the Bears. He went seven innings, allowing zero runs on three hits and striking out five.

    David Rebenack started the game for Lapel. He lasted four innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out three.

    Monroe Central tallied eight hits in the game. Joel Kennedy, Brayden Matheny, and Manship all had multiple hits

    Kennedy led Monroe Central with three hits in three at bats.

    Lapel didn’t commit a single error in the field. Ryne Wheeler had four chances in the field, the most on the team.
