    The 21st annual YMCA Open will take place on July 14 at Winchester Golf Club and will again be a great opportunity for local golf enthusiasts to enjoy the sport in a scramble type format and win many great prizes.

    The event begins at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start for four-person teams. Cost is $40 per person for WGC members and $50 for non-members. Mulligans can be purchases 2 for $5 with a limit of 4 per person. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Randolph County YMCA’s youth programs.

    Highlighting the many great prizes is a new car from American Chevrolet Cadillac for the first hole in one on Hole No. 2. There are also other major prizes on all the par 3’s.

    The winning team receives $300 in pro shop certificates and there are also prizes for second, third, ninth and 13th place. All golfers receives a Golfer’s Goodies bag. There are also prizes for longest drive for both female and male, closest to the pin and for the last place team.
