League champion Blue River led the way with three players named this week to the Mid-Eastern Conference team. Four players from Randolph County were named to the team.Â
Blue River, which finished 22-4 and a perfect 9-0 in the Mid-Eastern Conference, is represented by senior Abby Thornburgh, junior Ally Madden and sophomore Maci Chamberlin. The Vikings finished sixth in the final Class A rankings, were Tri Sectional champions and advanced to the Tri-Central regional championship game, losing 60-44 to Northfield.Â
Randolph Southern, which finished sixth in the final Mid-Eastern Conference standings, were represented by senior Jewelia Austin and Kaibre sophomore Kaibre Stephan. The Rebels finished 4-5 in conference play and 7-11 overall.Â
Monroe Central finished eighth in conference play and is represented by junior Macy Shinn. The Bears finished 2-7 in conference play and 3-15 overall.Â
Union was 0-8 in MEC play, but 9-12 overall. Honour Ellis, just a sophomore, represents the Rockets on the team.
