Randolph County Highway Department Workers each received a $25.00 gift certificate to El Carreton Mexican Restaurant from Farm Bureau and others in appreciation for all of their hard work removing snow during the snowfall event in February.

Randolph County Highway Department workers received a surprise Thursday morning when representatives of Farm Bureau presented them each with a $25.00 gift certificate to El Carreton Mexican Restaurant in Winchester. The gift certificates were thanking them for all of the hard work that they put in removing the snow during February’s snowfall event.

“We used to do this sort of thing all of the time,” said Farm Bureau’s Tom

Chalfant. “But, over the last few years, we haven’t had much snowfall, and haven’t had the chance,” he continued. “With the recent pandemic, we felt like we wanted to do something to show our appreciation for all of the hard work they have put in,” he concluded.

The Randolph County Highway Department would like to thank Angie Martin and John Adams of Farm Bureau Insurance, Farm Bureau Incorporated, Mike Harman of Digitax USA, and El Carreton Mexican Restaurant and the Bernal Family, for providing the gift certificates.
