    On July 13, 2019, at approximately 1416 hours, Darke County Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Brock Cosmos Road and State Route 49 in reference to a non-injury accident.

    Preliminary investigation revealed a silver 2003 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Brooke Neuhauser (21) of Roanoke, Indiana was traveling South on State Route 49 at Brock Cosmos Road when a maroon 2015 GMC Sierra driven by Paul Friend, (53) of Daleville, Indiana failed to yield at the stop sign. Mr. Friend traveled West through the intersection at Brock Cosmos Road and State Route 49 causing Ms. Neuhauser to strike the trailer Mr. Friend was pulling.

    Mr. Friend arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and failure to yield from a stop sign.

    This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

    On July 14, 2019 at approximately 2:35 A.M. Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Township Rescue and Greenville Township Fire Department were dispatched to 5100 block of Sebring Warner Road in reference to an accident with injury.

    Preliminary investigation revealed a red 2000 GMC Sonoma driven by Jordan Gary ,27, of Greenville was traveling South on Sebring Warner Road. Mr. Gary failed to maintain control of his vehicle traveling off the right side of the roadway striking a guard rail and a fence before coming to rest. Mr. Gary was transported to Wayne ER by Greenville Township rescue.

    Alcohol is believed to be a factor

    This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

    On July 14, 2019 at approximately 4:59 PM Darke County Deputies along with Tri-Village Rescue and New Madison Fire, responded to the intersection of US Route 127 and US Route 36 West on a reported serious accident involving a pick-up truck and motorcycle.

    Preliminary investigation revealed a Blue 1995 GMC Sierra pick-up truck driven by Kenneth Reynolds Jr. 66, of Tulsa, OK. was stopped at the intersection of US Route 36 West and US Route 127 when he pulled out into the intersection to travel Northbound on US Route 127 in front of a Southbound Green 2000 Kawasaki Ninja operated by Nicholas Woodruff 24, of Greenville, OH. Mr. Woodruff collided into the driver side of the pick-up. Mr. Woodruff was not wearing a helmet at the time and was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Reynolds was treated at the scene and then transported to Wayne HealthCare for further evaluation.

    The Darke County Accident Reconstruction Team and Darke County Coroners Office also responded to the scene.

    This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

    On July 14, 2019 at approximately 9:23 P.M. Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Township Fire Department and Greenville Township Rescue were dispatched to the 4600 block of Children’s Home Bradford Road in reference to an accident with injury.

    Preliminary investigation revealed a silver 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Staci Blocher, 46, of Greenville was traveling West on Children’s Home Bradford Road East of State Route 118. Ms. Blocher failed to maintain control of her vehicle traveling off the left side of the roadway and overturning. The vehicle came to rest on it’s top in a field. Ms. Blocher and her passenger, Shawn Jackson, 45, of Greenville were extricated by mechanical by Greenville Township Fire Department. Ms. Blocher and Mr. Jackson were transported to Wayne ER by Greenville Township Rescue. Mr. Jackson was later transported to Miami Valley Hospital.

    This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
