As if the heat was reminder enough that July is here. But another reminder is the upcoming Randolph County 4-H Fair.

Friday, July 19 kicks off the fair with livestock and Horse & Pony admitted to the grounds followed by opening ceremonies at the Tractor Grounds.

Then for the next almost week, the animals, exhibits and youth all participate in a whirl of shows and activities.

This year a few things have changed. There has been an addition of shuttles for various areas on the grounds. Some shows have moved time or days. But one thing remains the same, there is always something for everyone to enjoy!

If it is the good food you can’t wait, both the Junior Leaders Concession Stand and Husted Hall Dining Room will have an array of delicious items to consume.  Don’t forget about the Pork Producers Dinner on Monday night.

If its the Commercial Building expos you like to see then you won’t be disappointed. They are back too. From political parties to informational, the Commercial building has a variety of booths the peruse.

The News-Gazette will publish their annual 4-H preview section containing the fair schedule, a feature on the 10-year members and the lineup for the King and Queen contest on July 16. Watch for updates on our website: winchesternewsgazette.com or in our printed product during the fair.
