Ella Baldwin of Winchester Community High School continues to excel in the water.

Although there have been several meets canceled or postponed, Winchester’s Ella Baldwin has performed well when given the opportunity.

This past weekend the Falcon senior swam in the Jay County Invitational and placed fifth in the 50-meter Freestyle and 3rd in the 100-meter Butterfly.

Earlier last week, on Tuesday, Baldwin swam against Belmont and Jay County. She placed 1st in the 100-meter Butterfly and 2nd in the 200-meter Freestyle.

“Ella is swimming really well at this point in the season. She is right where she needs to be with sectionals a few weeks away,” notes her mother Kari.

Baldwin is still undecided on which two events that she will be swimming in the sectionals yet, but she has been working hard to improve her technique in a couple of events.

“The Jay County swim team and coaches have been absolutely amazing to Ella,” said Kari, adding that Ella was included in the school’s “Senior Honor Night,” which was very special to her.
