On Friday, November 22nd at 6 pm the 37th Annual Holiday Benefit Auction took place at the Portland Center of Arts Place. The fundraiser netted over $22,000 throughout the night. The proceeds benefit the annual costs of Arts Place, including its programming.
Auction Chair Anni McClung stated that “The Arts Place Holiday Benefit Auction would not be possible without the many generous people who come out every year to support it. They deserve our utmost thanks and appreciation.” Arts Place Executive Director/CEO Eric R Rogers also noted that this was the fourth most successful Holiday Benefit Auction in Arts Place history, exceeding the total raised in the last two years.
Carolyn Carducci, Arts Place Director of Development, said that “It was an amazing sight to see the community come together in support of Arts Place at the 37th Annual Holiday Benefit Auction. Not only will the funds raised support our ArtWorks, MusicWorks, Arts in the Parks and other programs, but the event brought the community together for a night of fellowship and fun. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, the Holiday Benefit Auction is a reminder that Arts Place is thankful for the opportunity to provide the arts to the communities we serve.”
These activities are made possible, in part, with support from the Community Foundation of Randolph County, the Portland Foundation, the Indiana Arts Commission, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
