Winchester churches to host

activities for holiday festival

Several local churches will host activities in conjunction with Friday's Christmas on the Square holiday festival.

€ Main Street Christian Church, 220 S. Main St., will have a live outdoor nativity scene.

€ First United Methodist Church, 313 S. Meridian St., will offer communion in its historic sanctuary.

€ Winchester Friends Church, 124 E. Washington St., will have a quilt display in its decorated sanctuary. The quilts are created by members of the Wanna Be Quilters.

€ Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Franklin St., will serve refreshments to visitors viewing their stained glass windows.

Christmas on the Square is 5-8 p.m. Friday in the downtown Winchester area and beyond. Featured activities include artisan displays and wares, food and drink, a winter market, carriage rides, luminary displays, musical entertainment, cookie decorating for kids, the arrival of Santa Claus (with photos by CVS) and business open houses.
