General Election ballot information finalized

Randolph County Clerk Claudia Thornburg said the local ballot has been finalized for the fall General Election.
The General Election is Tuesday, November 4, with the polls open from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Candidates for county offices are (an I before the candidate's party affiliation indicates an incumbent):
Superior Court Judge, Peter Haviza (I-Democrat).
Circuit Court Clerk, Claudia Thornburg (I-Republican).
County Coroner, Duane Petry (I-Republican).
Commissioner - Eastern District, Noel "Bud" Carpenter (Republican); Tom Binkley (Democrat).
Commissioner - Middle District, Troy A. Prescott (Republican); Larry Dungan (Democrat).
County Council - At Large (vote for three), Carlton Clevenger (I-Republican); Helen I. Snyder (Republican); Ralph E. "Bud" Harris (I-Republican); Troy Bain (Democrat); Nan E. Harris (Democrat); Steve Taylor (Democrat); and James W. Byrd (Independent).
State election ballot certification includes:
Indiana Governor, Jill Long Thompson - with lieutenant governor Dennie Oxley (Democrat); Andy Horning - with Lisa Kelly (Libertarian); and Mitch Daniels - with Becky Skillman (I-Republican).
State Attorney General, Linda Pence (Democrat); Greg Zoeller (Republican).
Superintendent of Public Instruction, Richard D. Wood (Democrat); Tony Bennett (Republican).
United States Representative, District 6, Barry A. Welsh (Democrat); George T. Holland (Libertarian); Mike Pence (I-Republican).
State Representative, District 33, Andy Schemenaur (Democrat); Bill J. Davis (I-Republican).
State Representative, District 54, Rex Bell (Libertarian); Thomas E. "Tom" Saunders (I-Republican).
The clerk's office on the third floor of the county courthouse is currently accepting applications for absentee voting. Absentee voting will begin Oct. 6 and continue through Nov. 3 at noon. The deadline for voter registration is Oct. 6 at 4 p.m.
