Randolph County Daffodil days to benefit the American Cancer Society are March 15-17. The annual event provides a cheery way to welcome spring while fighting cancer.
Bunches of the spring flowers can be pre ordered and picked up during Daffodil days at a variety of sites around the county. The daffodils are $10 for a bunch of 10 and $5 for a vase. A box case of daffodils, 50 bunches of 10, may be purchased for $500. The deadline for orders is Thursday, Feb. 15.
"Dollars raised through Daffodil Days campaigns help the American Cancer Society fund ground breaking cancer research," said Cancer Society Community Representative Laura Market. "The proceeds also go to provide up-to-date cancer information and education, advocate for public health policies that benefit the community and provide services that improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
"Last year, Daffodil Days raised over $2,000 locally in Randolph County. With your help, we hope to raise even more this year."
Market said daffodils are a great way to recognize and thank fellow employees and vendors for exceptional work or to show appreciation to clients for their business or to decorate and brighten offices and waiting rooms.
For more information, or to place a daffodil order, contact Market at 888-635-9256 or send an e-mail to laura.market@cancer.org. The daffodils will arrive March 16.
